I cant tell which of my clients actually paid me this month

6 clients right now. two of them pay through their own portal, one uses bill.com, one just does a bank transfer with no reference on it so I have to guess, and the other two get a harvest invoice from me. so when I try to work out how much came in this month it takes like 40 minutes of opening tabs and I still get it wrong half the time. tried keeping a spreadsheet, lasted 3 weeks. the problem is it only knows what I remember to type into it, and the week im busy enough to forget is exactly the week money is moving. what I want is boring. one screen, one row per client, did they pay, how late. thats it. no projections no tax module. would connect a bank feed or forward the portal emails if thats what it takes. harvest does this fine for the clients that are in harvest which is about half of them. the other half decided how I get paid, not me.

How would you build this?

gave up and made it a monday thing. 20 mins, check everything, update one sheet. works, but only because I do it, so it stops working the week I get busy

same but mine is 3 portals and a wise account. the bit that gets me is that paid means something different in each one, one of them marks it paid when its approved not when the money actually moves

Id do this as an email watcher before anything else. nearly all of those systems mail you when something is approved or paid. parsing them is horrible but its the only source that covers everything at once

have you tried bonsai or moxie for this? genuine q, Ive only used them for invoices I raised myself not money coming out of a clients system

the number Id want next to did it land is how late. once you can see 41 days average for one client you can price them differently next time

this, plus a nudge when somethings been sitting at approved for more than 2 weeks. approved and unpaid is where my money goes to die
